False Friends: Success/Succeed
In English, success is the noun used to describe situations in which some goal has been achieved, or a person has obtained great wealth, respect, awards, etc. Its verb is to succeed, and its adjective is successful.
Success can come with a heavy price.

Do not say: Eva Cassidy did not have success…
Bob succeeded where everyone else had failed: he found a parking space in downtown.
The Spanish word suceso is usually translated as “incident” or “event” or “happening”, and suceder is often translated as “to happen”
