Fun and Funny are often confused by non-native English speakers.
Why is this? Let’s have a look.
Both of these adjectives describe similar ideas about a person, place or thing, but there is a key difference.
Fun is used to describe something that is enjoyable.
example: Disney World is a fun place. In other words, when I go to Disney World I enjoy myself.
Funny is used to describe something that makes you laugh.
example: This book is so funny that I can’t stop laughing out loud.
Does that help clarify things?
