Confusing Words
¿Cuántas veces has dudado si decir in, on o at? Queremos compartir con vosotros estas normas básicas que os ayudarán a elegir la preposición correcta sin dudas.
Utilizamos at para las horas y para ciertas expresiones:
at 8,30
at the weekend
at night
at Christmas
Since y for son dos palabras que se suelen confundir pero éstas se utilizan en casos diferentes.
Since va seguido de un punto específico en el pasado. Por ejemplo:
I´ve been living in Spain since 1999
The adjective hard has two different adverbs, and they express opposite meanings. Let’s look.
The adverb hard is used to modify a verb and means that the action is being done very intensely.
The adverb hardly is used to modify a verb and means that the action is not being done very intensely.
