Confusing Words: Assure/Ensure/Insure

These three words that seem to mean the same thing, and a couple of them even kind of look like Spanish words, but remembering which is which is not that hard.
- – Assure (noun: assurance) means to state or affirm something confidently.
I assure you, Matt never visited me here.
I need your assurance that Bill will never find out about this!
- – Ensure means to make sure, to check that things are as you expect them to be.
Ensure the lid is tightly closed
Please ensure your tray tables are closed and your seats fully upright.
- – Insure (noun: insurance) means to guarantee (usually financial) compensation in case of loss.
The house is insured for $1,000,000.
Did you hear that Jennifer Lopez insured her legs for $20 million?
