Verb Tenses: Choose the right one
- With my birthday less than two weeks away, I am about to enter / would enter my 30s.
- Yes. I’m going to be 30. Please give me a moment as I have mourned / mourn the loss of my youth. (mourn=lament)
- Okay, I’m exaggerating / I exaggerate. I really don’t care. It’s just a number, right?
- I mean, really, will I feel / do I feel any different the day after? I doubt it.
- But, I am missing / am going to miss my 20s. C’est la vie!
- As my grandfather (who just turned 90!) would always say / has always said, it’s better than the alternative!
